About Robertson Collaborate
Robertson Collaborate is an independent growth consultancy. From our base in Newport-on-Tay, we provide senior, hands-on sales, marketing and product support to growing companies across Scotland, particularly in Dundee and Edinburgh.
A senior-led firm, small by design
Founded by Catherine Robertson in 2009. John joined the business in 2013, bringing senior in-house experience across sales, marketing and product leadership.
The business paused while John completed a senior in-house leadership role. After that chapter concluded, he returned to Robertson Collaborate, where he now leads client delivery.
We work with a small number of clients at any one time. This allows us to remain closely involved and hands-on. Clients work directly with John, supported by Catherine as co-owner and co-director.

Our perspective has been shaped by years of working in and advising growth businesses. We understand how strategy, sales execution, product direction and marketing performance intersect, and where misalignment often slows progress.
We are well-connected within Scotland’s technology ecosystem, maintaining relationships with founders, investors, accelerators, and commercial leaders. This perspective allows us to help founders navigate the wider support landscape, drawing on trusted relationships and what we see working across Scotland’s technology community.
We continue to invest in our own development, including in AI, focusing on practical applications rather than experimentation for its own sake.
