TeamCard provides access control, and fan engagement and membership systems to sporting stadiums and clubs, events and festivals in the UK and further afield. Robertson Collaborate was approached by TeamCard’s parent company, the privately-owned STG (Scotcomms Technology Group) to create a strategic marketing plan.
TeamCard has long had brand recognition and an excellent reputation in the UK marketplace among football clubs. With the product range being relevant and increasingly in demand with other types of venues, a review was needed of the business’ approach to marketing. The marketing plan was put in place to boost awareness, to make it easier for prospective customers to find the product online and to bring clarity to the offering to the various sectors that it targets. The plan was designed to support the in-house business development team and their approach and to enable relationships to be strengthened with prospects. In May 2016 a new website was launched to draw in those searching for the Teamcard product. Quickly, website traffic increased tenfold.
