Beam is changing the face of orthodontistry in Scotland. With its cutting edge and innovative practice, Beam straightens teeth of people of all ages. Based in Dundee’s cultural quarter, Beam aims to build on its early rapid growth and detailed marketing plans are created with Robertson Collaborate for further expansion.
Beam is perhaps something of a rarity in the dental world as patients routinely report that they look forward to going there! This is down to excellent clinical service and patient care but also the beautifully designed space and atmosphere that Beam has worked hard to create. Patients come to Beam from far and wide, many referred by their dentists or through their own research.
Marketing at Beam involves great communication with dentists and using digital marketing and social media to draw people to the practice. We are in an age where many young people are disappointed if they do not get braces and adults of all ages, male and female, are treating themselves to the straight teeth that they perhaps missed out on as teens. Through marketing, Beam aims to encourage all age groups to contact them for a chat about how Beam can help their smile.
Being recognised for service excellence has been a key part of the strategy. Robertson Collaborate has been delighted to witness Beam win Dentistry Scotland’s Best Specialist Practice 2011, 2012 and 2013 (they took a well-deserved break from awards in 2014!) and most recently win East of Scotland's pre-eminent Courier Business Awards "Services Business of the Year" 2015 - the most hotly contested category beating off competition from a wide range of sectors.
“As a small business, we understand the importance of marketing, but don’t have the knowhow nor the time to formalise a marketing plan. Robertson Collaborate has proved to be an invaluable resource; just like having our own marketing department! Catherine is wonderfully approachable and firmly and quickly grasped our brand and business model. She has allowed us to develop a cohesive approach to our marketing that reflects our 5-year business plan, as well as our 12-month goals. No more opportunistic marketing for us that proved expensive and futile, instead it is a huge relief to have the expertise of a professional on hand to guide us. We have found Catherine to be invaluable to our management as well as our marketing, and look forward to a long and fruitful working relationship going forwards.”
